The Emerging Farmers Conference is an experience-based conference designed with farmers, for farmers. EFC equips and empowers participants with tools to build a sustainable farm business with a strong focus on farmers who traditionally face barriers, including immigrant farmers, native farmers, and farmers of color. Minnesota Agroforestry Institute
The 2026 Minnesota Agroforestry Institute is a two-and-a-half-day training that includes classroom workshops and on-farm visits. It will provide all participants with the opportunity to integrate the concepts learned into a practical farm plan. September 15-17, 2026.
Preserving Food at Home online course
Whether you’re just getting started or have been preserving food for years, this course will enhance your knowledge of food safety and preservation. University of Minnesota Extension offers this online, self-paced course that covers general food preservation and safety concepts, as well as specialized training in canning, fruit preservation, pickling, fermentation, dehydration and freezing.
