Are you a grad student or similar stage emerging leader interested in a career in agriculture and conservation? Are you ready to explore your purpose and possible career paths in a supportive environment that includes one-on-one mentorship and professional training? Over spring and summer 2025, the time commitment is a virtual, 2-hour monthly peer meet up, four 1:1 meetings with an amazing mentor (by phone or zoom), and one 2-day in-person retreat. All will foster a sense of belonging and community with an inspiring circle of peers! We would be delighted to have you as a part of our exceptional community of mentees - apply by January 3rd for the Spring 2025 cohort. The program focuses on BIPOC graduate students in the Upper Midwest (Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Missouri) who are interested in careers in agricultural conservation and committed to reaching farmers who have been historically underserved. The program provides opportunities to connect with farmers, professionals, scientists and peers representing diverse agricultural communities across the region.
