Land and woodland owners can learn more about Agroforestry practices by attending the 2025 Minnesota Agroforestry Institute which will be held September 23, 24 and 25 at the Northland Arboretum, in Baxter, MN.
This two and a half day training includes classroom workshops and on farm visits of Agroforestry practices like windbreaks, alley cropping, silvopasture, riparian forest buffers and forest farming. Agroforestry practices produce multiple environmental benefits for farmers and woodland owners. The target audience is SWCD, NRCS, DNR and Conservation or Agricultural professionals, farmers, woodland owners and anyone interested to learn more about Agroforestry are welcome to attend. There is no registration fee for NRCS staff attending one day, September 24. NRCS staff should still register.
