Forever Green Small & Medium Enterprise Program

Applications are now open for round two of the Forever Green Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Program! Run by the Forever Green Markets Team, this program is designed to support businesses innovating in CLC product and market development through funding support, access to resources, and tailored mini-consulting projects. Apply by November 19, 2025.This program will run from January to December, 2026.

Participants in our 2026 program will receive:

Reimbursement for up to $9000 in eligible marketing and product development costs.
1-3 mini consulting projects conducted by the Forever Green Markets Team members.
The opportunity to connect and learn from other program participants and industry experts during two peer-to-peer engagement events.

Who should apply?  Small to medium sized businesses innovating with the Forever Green portfolio of crops—including Kernza®, American elderberries, hybrid hazelnuts, winter barley, winter camelina, hybrid winter rye, and pennycress.

We welcome participation from enterprises across industries—from food to feed, fuel and fiber. Businesses based outside of Minnesota are welcome to apply.
