Farmers Sought to Test FSMA Traceability Rule Training Materials

Farm Commons is developing resources and tools on the new Traceability Rule (part of the Food Safety Modernization Act), and we’re looking for active farmers to help us test whether our resources are actually useful in real life, not just on paper. Apply by February 9, 2026.

This winter, we’re hosting a paid, online Experience Team (ET) designed to gather farmer feedback on draft Farm Commons resources before they are fully launched.

The goal is simple:
Are these materials relevant? Can you realistically use them on your day to day work on the farm or to train your staff? What would make them work better for you?

Participants will review and share honest feedback that will directly shape final edits and future Farm Commons publications. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence how farm law guidance is written, prioritized, and shared.

What this Experience Team involves
  1. Reviewing selected portions of a draft Farm Commons guide and videos
  2. Applying ideas or tools to your own farm or food business, where feasible
  3. Participating in discussion and brief feedback activities during an online session on February 25 at 3pm Eastern, 2pm Central, 1pm Mountain, and noon Pacific
Participants are compensated for their time ($262 for an estimated 3.5 hours of time), and your feedback will directly inform how Farm Commons refines and shares these resources.

Interested? Or know anyone that would be interested? The application is open now and will close on February 9.
Selected participants will be notified by February 13.
