Job Description:    Sustainable Landscaping Crew

 

Place of Work:       On-site locations in Twin Cities, Minnesota and suburbs

 

Duration:                May 1st, 2025 until end of landscaping season (mid-November)

 

Working Hours:     8:30am – 4:30pm, Tuesday – Friday

 

Wages:                    $20 –23/hr. based on experience

 

Local Roots Landscapers is an ecological landscaping company operating in the Twin Cities since 2003.  The business has had several owners over the years, but the mission has stayed the same: install and maintain sustainable, functional landscapes in our Cities and suburbs. Our small crew of 3-5 individuals installs beautiful and native prairie, woodland, savanna, and rain garden plantings.  We also install finely crafted natural flagstone patios, pathways, and stone walls. It is challenging, highly physical work, but also very rewarding.  We are currently hiring for the following positions:

 

Sustainable Landscaping Crew Members will work as part of the team to help complete each project.  Job duties include planting, shoveling, pitch forking, wheel barrowing, watering, raking, weeding, edging, carrying, and constructing natural stone paths, patios, and walls.

 

Crew Member Qualifications:

  • 1+ year in landscaping, gardening, farming, or related work

  • Valid driver's license

  • Familiarity with hand tools

  • Able to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive motions

  • Strong work ethic

  • Proactive communicator
