We’re hiring a 0.75 FTE Master Gardener Program Coordinator for Dakota County!

As a Program Coordinator, you’ll work closely with dedicated volunteers and serve as an organizer, supporter, coach, and recruiter. Your work will focus on strengthening community engagement efforts and building relationships with local organizations. You will also serve as the primary point of contact in your community, representing the University of Minnesota Extension.
Who is a good fit for this role?
Applicants should have a BA/BS degree with at least four years of experience in one or more of the following areas: volunteer engagement, team leadership/management, project management, human resources, or education-focused leadership. A combination of related higher education and work experience totaling eight years will also be considered.
University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener volunteers use research-based horticulture practices to provide educational outreach and lead project-based initiatives that inspire change and promote healthy people, healthy communities, and a healthy planet. Volunteer work supports seven program priorities: horticulture skills, pollinator health, plant biodiversity, nearby nature, clean water, climate responsiveness, and local food.
