The White Earth Land Recovery Project hosts the 2026 Great Lakes Indigenous Farming Conference (GLIFC). This year’s theme, From Earth to Table: Reclaiming Indigenous Foodways, will highlight the importance of food sovereignty, cultural revitalization, and the reintegration of traditional foods into daily life.

We welcome farmers, seed keepers, knowledge holders, educators, youth leaders, community organizers, and food sovereignty advocates to share their knowledge, practices, and stories that strengthen Indigenous food systems and wellness.

Conference Tracks

  1. Revitalizing Traditional Foodways & Ecological Knowledge
    • Seed saving, traditional farming practices, and ancestral food knowledge
    • Ecological stewardship, soil health, and sustainable land practices
    • Intergenerational learning and transmission of Indigenous knowledge
  2. Indigenous Food Sovereignty & Community-Based Farming Solutions
    • Models of community farms, cooperatives, and collective food systems
