Job Title: Event Coordinator
Location: Remote-Minnesota (with in-state travel required)
Position Type: Seasonal/Summer Contract
Rate of Pay: $30.00-$36.00/hour depending on experience
Description:
The Minnesota Grazing Lands Conservation Association (MNGLCA) is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of all summer events. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with team members. If you are interested in agriculture, conservation, and rural community work, this is the position for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute MNGLCA’s summer events from start to finish
Coordinate event logistics including venue rentals, speaker and host arrangements, and marketing/advertising needs
Oversee day-of coordination and attend all events to ensure smooth operations
Create 5–10 “Tools of the Trade” videos, which includes traveling to farms, filming, editing, and posting content
Represent MNGLCA at partner organization events throughout the summer (may include in-state overnight travel)
Collaborate closely with Administrative Coordinator to ensure consistent communication and successful event delivery
Use a personal vehicle to tow the MNGLCA 16-foot enclosed trailer to and from event locations.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in event planning, project management, or related fields
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable with travel and working in a flexible, field-based environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic video production and editing skills
Experience in the agriculture and conservation field
