The University of Minnesota Forever Green Initiative (FGI) is hiring an Agronomy Associate! Come join our cross-sector efforts to advance the crop development, farmer adoption, market development, and scaling of new and novel perennial and winter annual continuous living cover crops for farmers in the Upper Midwest.
In this role, you would be joining a growing team at Forever Green, helping to expand the EECO incentive and risk management program statewide. This person will also serve as an agroforestry technical assistance provider to hazelnut and elderberry producers in Minnesota.
The position will be housed within FGI's Commercialization, Adoption, and Scaling (CAS) Team and will collaborate widely with cross-sector partners including researchers, NGO advocates, industry, and government. Potential for flexible hours and remote work arrangement.
Candidates based in greater Minnesota are strongly encouraged to apply. This role will require travel throughout the state.
Minimum requirements include BA/BS and two years of experience and/or combined 6 years of related education and work experience.
