Opportunity to Partner with Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC)

Conservation Technology Information Center is humbled and appreciative to be one of several organizations receiving support from Cargill’s Success from the Ground Up program to accelerate farmer-led soil health initiatives. This quick and easy nomination link provides dual options to nominate farmers or signal that you want to partner with us. This should only take 5 minutes to get started. Submit the form by June 1, 2026.

For our work, we will create at least four conservation farmer peer networks in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio to bring together expert farmer leaders and others who want to learn firsthand, receive mentoring and actionable insights unique to their local area. Our goal is simple: recruit and assemble a community of farmers, advisors and partners who want to share and transfer knowledge, build deeper relationships, and ultimately create a support network to turn to when questions inevitably arise about new conservation practices and technologies.

We invite stakeholders from the Midwest Cover Crop Council to also engage with us for this exciting program. By June 1st, please consider the following opportunities:

•            True to CTIC’s four decades of collaboration, we invite you to join with us as we establish these farmer peer networks and help position them for near and long-term success. Do you have subject matter experts on soil health that could assist with field day presentations and winter workshops?  Can you share this information in your network thru social media and newsletters to raise awareness?  Do you have experience working to create farmer networks in other states and those lessons would be helpful for us as we build these. Please share your ideas.

•            Do you have conservation farmers in your network that you know are motivated to contribute their leadership to help other farmers? We are looking to recruit 4-8 proven conservation farmers who are ready to further lead in their communities and share their conservation experience, including both successes and lessons learned the hard way.

This quick and easy nomination link provides dual options to nominate farmers or signal that you want to partner with us. This should only take 5 minutes to get started. We will select the farmer leaders in June and schedule the first round of on-farm field days for later this summer. If you are interested in helping create farmer peer networks but in other states besides IA, IL, MO and OH, please reach out and let’s discuss and strategize for future expansion.

Thank you,

Ryan
