Volunteer to Serve on MN Farmers' Market Association Board

Minnesota Farmers' Market Association is in an exciting stable growth mode and we're looking for the next set of members to raise your hands to lead the association forward! The Board of Directors for MFMA serves as an Advisory Board to MFMA’s staff.

Strategically located throughout all of MN, Board Directors are the eyes and ears of MFMA to identify where successes are happening, or support is needed. MFMA is looking for 11 directors to serve two or three year terms, one director per region except for the Metro region, where we need three due to the large amount of markets located in that region.

Over the last 13 years, we've developed the myriad of resources requested by markets and vendors to support you in your growth. MFMA's Farmers' Market Academy and Cottage Foods Academy are current and accurate deep libraries of resources. While maintaining our vital membership and insurance programs, MFMA is also in the midst of big projects that are producing real measurable outcomes:

As an added incentive to serve on the Board, MFMA's Board and staff will engage in a Strategic Planning process in early 2026, to ensure the association is ready to meet the needs of today's and tomorrow's markets and vendors.

MFMA's election of Board Directors and Annual Meeting is virtual to make it easier for anyone to join, no matter you live within the state and Tribal Nations.

APPLY FOR THE MFMA BOARD

If after reviewing MFMA's policies and expectations, and MFMA’s Bylaws, you would like to be considered to serve on MFMA's Board of Directors:

Questions can be directed to MFMA Board President Bonnie Muellerleile at BHannapowers@richfieldmn.gov or MFMA Executive Director Kathy Zeman at kzeman@mfma.org or (507) 664-9446.
