Renewing the Countryside is offering a new course titled Farm Business Basics! The class is a weekly online course on Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m. from January - March. The Business Basics Class will help you prepare and refine your farm's business plan. It is designed for local food farmers, and will feature weekly guest speakers in the local food and farming world.
Presentation Day: Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 1-5 p.m. at Oliver Kelley Farm in Elk River, MN
The cost of this course is $300 and includes tuition to the Farm Business Management Program where you will work monthly one-on-one with an instructor on your farm financial goals. If the $300 cost is a barrier, let us know. We have grant and scholarship funds to reduce the farmer cost of this program. The value of this course plus Farm Business Management tuition is valued around $2200.
