A Place at the Table Lab (APAT Lab), a new initiative of the Lyson Center for Civic Agriculture and Food Systems (a nonprofit affiliate of Cornell University) is exploring the concept of American Agricultural Heritage Areas (AHAs)— a proposed place-based framework for recognizing, celebrating, conserving, and advancing the nation’s most distinctive agricultural landscapes and food systems.
To that end, the APAT Lab is forming a working group, and we are seeking individuals who can:
- contribute relevant expertise and perspectives;
- represent or be familiar with a potential AHA; and
- participate at a level of about 2 hours per month over the next 6 months to explore the feasibility of the AHA concept.
Background information on the AHA concept is below.
If you’re interested in applying to join the working group, complete the form HERE:

It will take less than 10 minutes to complete. All applicants will be included in our networking and outreach list; however, to ensure an effective and focused process, a limited number of individuals with specific expertise will be invited to participate in the working group at this time.
Thanks in advance for your engagement!
