The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announces the availability of funding to support the implementation of Source Water Protection (SWP) plans. SWP plans are, 1) wellhead protection plans that have been approved by MDH under requirements of Minnesota Rules Parts 4720. 5100 to 4720.5590, or 2) MDH approved wellhead protection action plans, or 3) surface water intake protection plans that have been endorsed by MDH. The funding for SWP plan implementation grants is provided under Minnesota Session Laws 2025, Regular Session, chapter 36.
